To Support our Programs in East Africa

With an East Africa Program Coordinator in place, along with the best practices we have identified through our existing initiatives, a relatively modest investment has the potential to make an enormous difference for children, families, and communities in this region. Indeed, $15,000 would allow us to build a new school and initiate an affiliated hui for a community in need.

Join or Start a Hui

Hui (hoo’ee) is a Hawaiian term for a cooperative group working together for a shared purpose. The Family Hui program’s shared purpose is creating healthy, thriving families and communities.

When you join a Hui, you will:

• join a group of 7-9 other parents with kids ages 0-5 learning and sharing together about the joys and challenges of parenting,
• receive a positive parenting curriculum to start conversations about expectations, resilience, nutrition, crying and sleeping, development, mindful discipline, play and language, health and safety, media, family life, and school readiness, and
• establish a community of support for you, your child, and your family.
